Holiday
Since the last of June (when Noell decided to manage the 16 rental properties in Blackfoot) we’ve been investing most of our free time to fixing them up and finding others who can help us fix them. We now have a plumber, electrician, and a handyman who have begun some repairs for us. Things are progressing. We have 4 vacant units that we’re renovating. The owner (actually the executor of the estate) and Noell and I all agree that the units must be improved before we rent them out. They are in very bad shape.
Noell made certain that as we arrived we had dinner available. After a quick dinner, Noell and I went on our date. For our date we drove to Becky and Jason’s to return their two kayaks. We visited with them for several hours — we loved our date night.
On Saturday we decided to drive to Mesa Falls. We stopped at Big Judd’s in Ashton for a burger than drove to the falls. It was beautiful and Tate and Dawson seemed to enjoy the roaring water. We then drove to Big Springs and watched the fish, the mosquitos were terrible there. We showed Tanner Henry’s Lake and then drove home, only stopping for a milk shake from Arctic Circle.

Sunday morning we realized that perhaps we overdid it, perhaps it was too cold at the falls, but Tate and Dawson both have runny noses and are beginning to get small fevers. Evidently we need to watch them more carefully.
Tanner's friend invited him to golf and it was Tanner's first time. On Wednesday night Dawson and I taught Tanner all we knew. Tanner and his friend golfed on Thursday night and had a great time.

This week, I had the 24th of July off work for Pioneer Day. We decided we needed some vacation time.
On Friday (the 24th) Tanner and I took his cousins, Martha & Sarah to Rigby lake to kayak. They have two kayaks and we have two. We had a fun visit on the ride and a great time in the lake. Three of us, at different times, got a ball that was blowing across the lake for a family. By the time Tanner saved the ball, nobody would claim the ball again. We all thought that was funny.

Sarah was a Good Samaritan and towed a couple of young men who couldn’t swim to a dock that they wanted to be on.

We raced through the buoys, splashed each other, Tanner jumped off his kayak and he even paddled standing up. We paddled all the way around the lake and had a great time. We got home later than Noell and I typically leave for our date.
