Tanner's FHE

Last night was Family Home Evening. For several months, on the night of Family Home Evening some of our family members negotiate the opportunity to trade assignments with someone else. Selina (our exchange student) has made treats for several weeks in a row, because she is so willing to trade. Last week, with the love that only a father can muster, I explained to the family that we will put our names on the assignment board in order of age, and we will not change the order again.

Tanner gave the lesson. For those of you have not had the privlidge of participating in a lesson prepared by a 7 year-old boy, it is truly a sight to behold. At the point that Myranda felt the lesson was reaching a close, he then began the next part of the lesson.

The lesson was exceptional for a young man and he even included a twist on one of our favorite activities, "Don't Eat Pete!" He changed it to a competition, using pictures in two groups: temples and prophets. After attempting his creativity for one round, we switched back to the usual way.

We then went to McDonalds for a sundae, only to find their ice cream machine was broken. We went to Wendy's instead, and enjoyed a frosty.
