Myranda was up a number of times during the night with her "common vomit." I call it her "common vomit" because it seems like every time she goes to cousins or has too much fun in a day, she ends up vomiting for a night (or a day) and then is all better. Last night was one of those times, but it lead to a migraine headache.

We left the hotel and headed for Arches National Park. Noell and Myranda dropped us off at the beginning of a trail and drove to the end to pick us up. When we arrived after the short hike, Noell informed me that Myranda was feeling so sick that they would go to Green River to our next hotel and let Myranda rest. We dropped Myranda and Noell at the car (we brought both the car and van on this trip (because we had 8 people and our van is a 7 passanger van).
The remaining group went to Double Arch (I waited in the car for a parking space to open up, a very crowded parking lot). The others hiked in, and I expected them to return from the short hike before I got parked. It turned out that they all waited for me to arrive before they left. We spent a lot more time there than I'd hoped for, but they enjoyed it.

We then hiked to the Delicate Arch. While the trail seems longer than 1 1/2 mile while hiking to the arch, the return hike is much shorter. While the trail seems long, there is nothing like the thrill as you round the ridge and see the amazing arch towering on the spectacular sandstone ridge. We spent a while there, taking photos from a number of different angles. That is truly one of the most amazing places to visit. On the way down, we stopped to shoe Andreas some petroglyphs on the rocks

We met Noell and Myranda in Green River, then headed to Goblin Valley. As we were driving there, we saw an antelope (well, everyone but Lucie saw it). We turned around to show it to Lucie, but it was gone over the ridge. I felt bad, because with so much travel this week, we saw nearly no wildlife. We had a good time climbing on the "goblins" in Goblin Valley. I spent most of the time with Tanner helping him to feel more comfortable climbing up an down. By the end, I was quite impressed with some of the places that he could climb.

After Goblin Valley, Noell still wanted to hike up the slot canyon up Wild Horse Road. She had missed out on all of the hiking during the day (except at Goblin Valley) so she was anxious to hike. Most of us were fairly tired, but felt that it was something that we would enjoy. We took a quick hike far enough up the canyon that we saw some of the towering cliffs and the water cuts into the sandstone layers.
On the road back to the spot where the car was parked, we spotted another antelope on the road. This time everyone was able to see it. After seeing it, Noell comented, "I wish antelope would travel in herds, I only see them alone." I was shocked, because typically I see them in groups. Ten minutes later, we spotted two different small herds of antelope. Noell thought that it was funny that she saw both herds so soon afterward.

After dinner, we returned to the hotel and swam in the indoor pool. It was so nice to be in the water, where there was so much less weight on our sore feet. As we moved, different muscles were being used than the ones for hiking, the change was certainly a welcome treat. While the pool water was warm, we even got in the hot tub to get even warmer.
